Borehole Pump Installation

After Aqua Boreholes has successfully drilled the borehole, completed the yield testing and received the chemical quality analysis of the water from the laboratory, your borehole pump installation can commence.

Considerations such as the borehole’s delivery rate, what the water will be used for, and minimising energy consumption are taken into account to ensure we select the right-sized pump based on your specific water usage.

At Aqua Boreholes, we rely on only the best expertise with our specialised in-house team. During the installation of your borehole pump system, our qualified electricians and plumbing technicians will be present to ensure all electrical and plumbing connections meet the highest standards. Following the completion of your borehole pump installation, you can rest assured that there will be no hassle in signing off the electrical and plumbing installations.

Water Filtration and Tank Systems

Having an independent water supply requires more than just a borehole pump installation. Our skilled technicians can design your system according to your water needs by gathering a sample of the water and having it tested.

In some instances, water filtration systems may be necessary to achieve optimal water quality. Based on the results from the water quality report, our team can make sure that filters are installed in the most suitable location and precisely fitted to address any identified contaminants.

Tank and water filtration systems are a complex process and improper installation can lead to unintended consequences. After we have installed your complete water system, we won’t leave you stranded. Our most recent addition is a service department armed with an experienced team to assist in conducting regular maintenance on your filtration installation.

Water Pump and water tanks

To ensure you get the end-to-end solution system you require, several aspects should be considered:

What kind of pump does a borehole need?

A borehole pump installation requires two main pumps: a submersible pump to pull the water up from the borehole and a booster pump to push the water from the surface through the pipeline to the outlets. Our borehole submersible pumps are specifically engineered and manufactured to be placed in the borehole water and remain submerged, continuously pumping water to your outlets.

Do borehole systems require a filtration system?

L
K

This depends on what you are going to be using your borehole water for. If the water is intended for human or animal consumption, then it is important to get the water tested by an accredited lab to determine whether water filtration is needed.

What will the borehole water be used for?

L
K

Do you want your borehole as part of an off-grid system, for irrigation and greywater use or consumption? These are important questions that must be answered before we complete the design of your system as this affects the pump size, plumbing installation, filtration and the number of outlets the water needs to be fed to.

Where will the borehole system be installed?

L

Our complimentary on-site assessment not only determines the best access point for our drill rig but also allows us to find the best place to install the borehole system on your property. Ideally, it should reside in a spot with good airflow, away from the harsh glare of direct sunlight yet be easily accessible for maintenance. As long as your filtration system is secure and exposed to moderate temperatures, the right place can be the shady side of your home, garage or near an outdoor tap.

How much water flow and pressure is required?

K

If we understand what the intended purpose of your borehole water is, we will also know what size the booster pump should be to suit the required flow and pressure rates. For example, if you are using your borehole purely for irrigation, the pump needs to produce high pressure and low flow rates, and if you only intend to use the water to top up your water tanks, then low pressure and low flow will do the job.

An additional advantage to trusting us with your end-to-end borehole installation is that you can benefit from our extensive experience in the industry. The Aqua Boreholes team keeps up to date continuously with advancements in the field of water filtration and commits to professional development through ongoing training to provide you, our valued customer, with the most advanced systems and exceptional after-sales service.
